Las Vegas

On the Strip:

Vegas = GREAT Food

Sterling Brunch (Sunday Brunch)
4.5 stars, ~70 reviews, $$$$
If I ever win the jackpot, I WILL eat here.  It has a shocking price tag of $85/person for Sunday Brunch.  However, yelp says it has unlimited Perrier Jouet champagne, lobster, and even caviar! whoa!

Maggiano’s Little Italy (Italian)
4 stars, ~200 reviews, $$
Excellent family style Italian restaurant.  Get a large sized pasta and share.  All dishes are made in house.  This is similar to a Buca di Beppo restaurant, just better :-)

Bouchon Bakery (French Bakery Stand)
4 stars, ~300 reviews, $
Best and biggest Macarons!  Get a box of 6 at a slightly cheaper price.  Otherwise it’s $3.50/macaron

Bouchon (French)
4 stars, ~1200 reviews, $$$
Thomas Keller is da man!  This restaurant is amazing.  I came here for brunch since it’s cheaper than dinner. Everyone gets the Chicken and Waffles for $25.  The waffles are cooked with bits of bacon, that’s his secret!

Mon Ami Gabi Restaurant (French)
4 stars, ~900 reviews, $$
Cute restaurant in the Paris hotel.  Sit on the patio and you have a nice view of the Bellagio fountains.  I liked the Filet Mignon with merlot wine sauce reduction.

Earl of Sandwich (Sandwiches)
4.5 stars!, ~700 reviews, $
Cheap place to eat on the strip.  Also open 24 hours.  It’s right near the Miracle Mile shops, so you can buy some stuff and chomp on a sandwich from Earls.  I’m not too sure what all the hype is about, it tastes like a regular sandwich to me.  Otherwise you can also check out Pink’s Hot Dogs next door.

The Buffet at Wynn Hotel (American Buffet)
4 stars, ~1400 reviews, $$$
This is one of the BEST buffets on the strip.  It’s a must to try if you haven’t.  The buffet has a wide range of items including KING crab legs.  It’s even cracked open since they know you’re lazy.   Expect a 1 hour wait during peak times.

The Buffet at Bellagio (Buffet)
4 stars, ~1150 reviews, $$$
One of the nicest hotels has one of the nicest buffets.   Prime rib, leg of lamb, sea bass, crab legs, etc.

Buffet of Buffets
4.5 stars, ~30 reviews, $$
A crazy concept, only for the brave or insane.  $35 for a 24 hour pass to 7 different buffets.  The more popular buffets are Caesars, Rio, Paris, and Planet Hollywood.

Grand Lux Cafe
4 stars, ~600 reviews, $$
Restaurant in the Venetian hotel that’s open 24 hours.  Same Chef as the Cheesecake factory.

OFF the Strip:

Hikari (Japanese)
4 stars, ~100 reviews, $$
Open from 5pm-2am for ALL You Can Eat Sushi Buffet!  This place is great, because you can even order as much sashimi, uni, oysters, soft shell crab and hamachi kama as you want.  It’s easy to order and all the staff are friendly.

Ellis Island Casino & Brewery (American)
4 stars, ~400 reviews, $
This is an older and ghetto looking hotel that has some cheap grub.  Steak special for $7.99 is not on the menu (Just ask for it).  It gets you a sirlon, baked potato, green beans, cup of clam chowder, and homemade root beer.  You can’t beat that deal.  Also in the mornings, there’s a $5 NY steak and eggs special.

Arizona Charlies Sourdough Cafe (American)
3.5 stars, ~10 reviews, $
Okay, so this place doesn’t have 4 stars and up.  But it still has one of the best Steak & Egg specials in Vegas.  $2.99 for steak, eggs, hashbrowns and toast!  Amazing!  This is an old, cheap hotel located off the strip.

Studio B Buffet in the M Resort
4.5 stars!, ~450 reviews, $$
Located in the beautiful M Resort.  Buffet has a wide variety of food and includes beer/wine.  Go super early to avoid the horrendous wait times.

The Flame Steakhouse
4 stars, ~15 reviews, $$
A great steakhouse to eat at before checking out downtown/old Las Vegas.  The Shrimp Scampi pasta was the best I’ve ever had with huge shrimp and a delicate wine sauce.  I also recommend the Ribeye and Steamed clams appetizer.

In & Out Burger (Fast Food)
4.5 stars, ~15o reviews, $
Check it out if you don’t have one near you back home.  Quick, fresh, tasty burgers!  Simple menu, but delicious. Ask for your cheeseburger “animal style” to include grilled onions and secret sauce.

Ichiza (Japanese)
4 stars, ~450 reviews, $$
Traditional Japanese food restaurant that is located in the Chinatown area.   Honey toast for dessert!
